Volunteers are often the first point of contact for museum visitors. The primary purpose of the role is to welcome visitors and ensure they have all the information they need for a successful visit.
Volunteers answer visitor queries, provide information about the museum and its displays, and promote any activities that are available. They offer practical advice about how to get the most out of a visit as well as offering directions facilities and other areas of the museum. Volunteers may also be asked to help out with craft sessions and special events.
